Sourcing & Craft
Two disciplines, one shop: the roast and the kiln. Here's how we approach both, honestly and in-progress.
Coffee Sourcing
We select seasonal lots with an emphasis on transparent trade and traceability to origin. Beans are roasted in small batches so we can taste and adjust every cycle โ our goal is a cup that's balanced, not just bold. We're continuing to build direct relationships with importers and will share more specifics (farms, altitudes, processing methods) as those partnerships solidify.
Brewing Philosophy
Every method on our menu โ pour-over, espresso, cold brew โ is dialed in for that specific bean lot rather than a one-size-fits-all recipe. Our baristas taste-test each new roast before it goes on the menu.
Pottery & Ceramics
Every mug, bowl, and vase in our shop is wheel-thrown or hand-built in-house, then finished with food-safe glazes. Small batch sizes mean occasional variation โ no two glaze drips are identical, which we consider a feature, not a flaw.
Prints & Wall Art
Our framed prints come from original 35mm film photography shot around the shop and city, developed and scanned traditionally, then printed on archival paper.
Sustainability, In Progress
We're actively working on reducing single-use packaging (reusable cup discounts, compostable to-go ware) and sourcing clay more locally where possible. We'll post real updates here as programs launch rather than make blanket claims before they're in place.
